THE VIEW AT BATTLE LAKE

The first Saturday in November is the MN Deer Hunting Opener so it follows that the women will be out and about. My friend Bonnie vacated the homestead for the pleasures of TC  while the menfolk took over the house–One Smart Woman!

ART OF THE LAKES

It was a fine day, probably too warm for the deer hunters, but ideal for a trip to Battle Lake and my fave place, Art of the Lakes, a visual art association and gallery–original jewelry, pottery, textiles and paintings and photography.

GWENDOLYN'S

Then there is Gwendolyn’s gifts, floral, tea shop to open for Mother’s Day, 2011.

ONE FINE DAY

and One Fine Day gifts, casual clothing, lovely scarves, lattes/coffee, AND alterations.

Knitting

Prairie Needles, the knitting shop, is a textural delite.

More later…

Lots to see/do in a town of 767; Stella’s is welcome dining in a small town which usually only offers bar food.
